Good Day Mates,
I've been in London for what seems like forever, but has only been a month. Sorry for the delayed post ... I'm not good at keeping up with these things.
By now I've done most of the London to do things
Big Ben & Parliament
Westminister Abbey
London Tower & London Bridge
And many many more .... but you can see them all on my facebook page.
London has to be one of hte most beautiful cities in the world, and for more reasons than one. The history is amazing as many of the historical destinations can show. I never thought I would ever lay eyes on anything as beautiful as Westminister Abbey, no wonder Kate Middleton and Prince WIlliams will be getting married there. Whether your religion or into history, or neither, the beauty is something that can't be denied.
But honestly, its not the tourist attractions that make me think London is amazing, rather its the people. Now this is a little of a debatable subject. Londoners are like any other metropolitian mates, they have a place to go and will try their best to get there as quickly and effectively as possible. But when you leave the hussle and bussle of the inner city, you get to meet and see the real londoners.
You see people from different backgrounds with different interest and different clothing and different hairstyles. No one Londoner resembles another.
Ps. If you ever do want to fit in while in London, just wear a fur coat :)
Goldsmith!! Goldsmith!! Goldsmith!!
For all my Denisonians, Goldsmith is EVERYTHING Denison isn't. No offense lol
It's creative. It's unique and most of all it's intellectual.
Now I don't mean, "I did the assigned reading" intellectuals, but life experience plus current affairs plus sheer genius intellectuals. I've sat through classes where Frenchmen have bickered over the ban of burqas and veils in France, where my professor has shared her own experience of living in Communist Eastern Europe. Now, while I love Denison as much as any other Denison students
(LMAO) it's beyond refreshing to be in a class where students talk not just spit back information from last nights reading.
More to come ... off to see the King's Speech
